Stock the Crowd Favorites
Limiting the food menu for your party tends to pigeonhole you into a tight space that you never want to be in as a reputable host. Provide a few of the favorites (e.g. wings, dips, etc.) as well as a few go-to light beer brands to keep the crowd happy.
Don’t Forget the Music
Just like at your favorite sports bar, the music should be playing in the background to break up the monotony of the game you’re watching. This is especially important for commercial breaks and prolonged timeouts.
Have Plenty of Seating
A good host never makes their guests sit on the floor, so make sure you provide ample seating for all of your guests. Keep a few extra chairs on hand, in case a few no-shows decide to swing by during the second half.

The only thing more painful is the face you’ll have to make as you gnash your way through a bite out of sheer respect.

Sometimes babysitters fall through at the last minute, so it’s perfect if you’re the kind of host who keeps this in mind and creates a designated playroom for any children in attendance. Section off a safe room or part of the house that parents can periodically check in on to make sure their kids are safe and sound.
