1. Splash Days at Memorial Waterfront Park – Wednesday, August 5, 4 to 8 p.m.
Bring the kids to the waterfront park in the Town of Mt. Pleasant for an afternoon of fun in the sun. Local camps and youth groups come to play on the fountain and 27-foot water slide. Admission is free.
2. “Weird” Al Yankovic in Concert – Sunday, August 9
As part of his Mandatory World Tour, Yankovic will be in concert at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center. Tickets are currently on sale. Contact the box office at (843)529-5012.
3. Shaggin’ on the Cooper – Saturday, August 15, 7 p.m.
Head on out to Mt. Pleasant for night of shag dancing and good, old fashioned fun under the pier. Music will start at 7 p.m. and will be provided by Vinyl Daze. Admission to the event is $8 in advance and $10 at the door.
4. Hot Nights and Holy City Dinner – Sunday, August 23, 6 to 9 p.m.
Middleton Place and Holy City Brewing will team up to provide a beer dinner and pairing event that can’t be missed. The menu will include the freshest local ingredients from nearby farms and providers, with a beer pairing to compliment each dish. Tickets for the event are $85 per person.
5. Nickelback: No Return Address Tour – Monday, August 31
Multi-platinum-selling band, Nickelback, will stop in Charleston, SC on Aug. 31 as part of their 61-city tour. Performing at the North Charleston Coliseum, tickets are currently on sale and available through the box office at (843)529-5000.
