November 2014 Events Near Crescent Homes New Communities in Charleston, SC

Brews & Chews Beer Festival
Kick off the month by enjoying some of the best local fare and craft beers at the Brews & Chews 2nd Annual Beer Festival. In addition to palette pleasing food and beer tastings, there will be live music and lawn games. This is just one of many events this month that features the area’s finest food and beverages.

Charleston Veterans Day Parade
In a city with such a rich military history, it’s no surprise that on Veterans Day there are celebrations occurring all over Charleston. The Charleston Veterans Day Parade gets the festivities off to an early start with an event that puts the nation’s heroes at the forefront. The family-friendly event begins with the National Anthem followed by an hour-long parade that makes its way through more than 12 blocks downtown.

Holiday Festival of Lights Fun Run & Walk
The fun run gives participants the first look at the 700+ displays that make up the Holiday Festival of Lights. It’s a non-competitive 2-mile walk/run, so people of all athletic levels are invited to join in. Once the walk/run is done, everyone can enjoy the rest of the Holiday Festival of Lights including Santa’s Sweet Shoppe, the Victorian carousel and rides on the holiday train.

Turkey Day Run & Gobble Wobble 5K
It’s Thanksgiving Day once again, which means the Turkey Day Run & Gobble Wobble 5K is back for the 37th year. Take part in Charleston’s much-loved holiday tradition and the biggest 5K in all of South Carolina, which has a history that actually dates back 100 years. Once the race is over, participants and attendees can load up on free food and beverages while enjoying family-friendly activities.
