Discover Mt Pleasant

Just over the Cooper River from historic Charleston is one of South Carolina’s most desirable places to live: Mt. Pleasant. Named for an antebellum plantation, the town is a mix of old and new, with sleepy neighborhoods tucked among large live oaks, fresh seafood off the boat and all the conveniences of a fast-paced, large city. With its many family-friendly attractions, stunning parks and waterways, award-winning schools and safe communities, Mt. Pleasant is easily one of the most appealing destinations around.

Eat & Drink

Langdon’s

This classic Mt. Pleasant restaurant has a long-standing reputation for impeccable service and excellent cuisine. With over 15 years of success, it truly is a fine dining establishment and attracts many lifelong residents weekly.

Red Drum

Traditional southern dishes get a Tex-Mex twist at this popular eatery and watering hole on Coleman Boulevard. With an incredible wine selection and popular Sunday brunch, Red Drum is the perfect place to break bread or grab a drink with friends.

Old Village Post House

Nestled within the charming Old Village, this is a neighborhood spot as dependable as the mail. The cozy, traditional restaurant has an intimate setting and classic menu, with items such as a wedge salad and shrimp and grits.

The Wreck

Named for a ship wrecked during Hurricane Hugo on the site of the restaurant, The Wreck is known for authentic, lowcountry seafood served the old fashioned way: on paper plates in a loud, bustling kitchen. Fried oysters, peel ‘n eats, hush-puppies. If it goes well with cocktail sauce, it’s on the menu.

Five Loaves Cafe

For a delicious lunch or easy dinner, Five Loaves offers up gourmet sandwiches, stacked salads and tasty soups. Mix and match to create your perfect meal.

Sewee Outpost

Don’t call it a gas station. This destination convenience store hosts live music on Wednesdays and serves up the freshest biscuits every morning, made from scratch daily. With fresh bakery sandwiches and other southern specialties, it’s worth the drive on 17 North.
