Isle of Palms Connector Run/Walk for the Child – October 1, 2016
Join fellow runners and walkers in support of this non-profit 5K and 10K race for the healing and prevention of child abuse. The race begins at 8 a.m. on Palm Blvd., continues onto the Isle of Palms Connector and over the intracoastal waterway with a race to the finish back on the Island on JC Long Blvd. for the awards and after-race party. 25th Annual Latin American Festival – October 2, 2016
Head to North Charleston Wannamaker County Park for this annual event celebrating the history of Latin American music, dance, art and food. Learn how to Merengue, Salsa, see exciting performances, and explore the fun children’s activities. The event takes place from 12 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Summerville Italian Feast – October 2, 2016
Celebrate Italian culture and heritage during this delicious festival! Sample authentic Italian cuisine, imported and local Italian wines, and enjoy live entertainment by local artists all under the beautiful live oak covered Hutchinson Square in downtown Summerville. Dining for a Cause: A Benefit for Feed the Need – October 9, 2016
Hosted by Steve Palmer, Jeremiah Bacon and Mickey Bakst, this year’s event brings together a number of renowned local chefs to serve a multi-course meal. The event includes a cocktail reception, wine-pairings and a live auction. All proceeds from the event will go to support Charleston area soup kitchens and shelters. The event takes place at The Cedar Room from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.

South Carolina Stingrays Hockey Season Begins – October 22 & 25, 2016
Hockey fans get ready as the season kicks off in October with the first Rays home games taking place on Saturday, October 22 and Tuesday, October 25 at 7:05 p.m. both nights.
